INDIAN BATIKS

In the early 1970s Cary traveled to India where he met rug merchant, Nazrudin in varanasi. It was the beginning of Cary’s love for textiles. During that time he opened Rug Den in Harvard Square selling carpets and other textiles from India. The batiks in this collection are by a well known artist whose name, sadly, we no longer know.

We are selling these mounted cotton batiks at our studio during the month of April 2024. If you are interested in one, please let us know.

Because of their size and Because they are mounted, they must be picked up—they are too expensive to ship.
